From sit-on moons to whole wooden chapels: why you need alternative wedding designers Into The Wild style
Remember the gorgeous big pink moon that greeted you as you entered 2019’s show, and the huge totems that flanked our catwalk? They were made by Wild and Wonder, who’ve come together with the inimitable Joey from The Wild Fox - who created the insane florals that surrounded said moon and made us all swoon - to become Into The Wild Style, a wedding styling & design company who are aiming for the moon. If you’re looking for streets-ahead style, mind-blowing innovation, the answer “no” to never be said in answer to a question starting “I’ve had an idea - can we…?” and a bloody riotous giggle to keep you out of wedding planning stress - these gals are for you, no question. They’re the kind of gals who build a chapel for their own wedding. A whole wooden chapel, to go inside the venue. No biggy.
Why & how did you start?
We started separately, wedding florist and a stylist both working in the same area with the same frustrations. We worked by chance a lot together and a lot apart, but in most cases were coming away from wedding set ups feeling annoyed that couples weren’t being themselves! Many cocktails later we decide that the only way we could stay sane was to join forces and support each other and the couples that we worked with.
Who or what inspires you?
Quite honestly, we take inspiration from the couples that we work with. We spend a lot of time talking, we chat honestly and openly about they day they want to create, from family politics, to budget and try to pin down the differences between what they want to create, and what they feel they have to!
Talk us through a day at the office/studio/wherever you work from.
Now that’s a difficult question to answer. No two days are the same. We have just moved into the most beautiful studio, an old mill in the grounds of a stately home and busy making it a hub for everything we do. We hold workshops, consultations, run photoshoots, live off coffee and pretend that visiting antique and junk shops s a vital part of out job!
What’s your fave part about what you do?
Now that’s different fro everyone on the team. There are four of us.
What’s your top advice for couples getting married?
Just wedding like no ones watching!
