These sponsors are totally guaranteed to make you smile - and not just because a robotic voice in a photobooth told you too. Nope, Photobot.co are the real deal - bona fide guarantors of a good time, who genuinely love being part of weddings and live and breath real love. And, even better, their booths are totally design-led with ultra cool vibes, and their products super swanky and swish. Basically, they're the photobooths that have everything.  We feel a little bit like the ladies in the top left about it...

Tell us a little bit about you!

We’re a creative company who design, build and hire photobooths for parties, brand activities and bars. As strange a thing as it may be to say photobooths are a creative medium for us.

Why did you decide to set up your own business?

I’d been working as a graphic designer for 12 years and while I liked what I did I was open to doing something else.

A friend was celebrating her 40th and I decided to build a simple booth for the party, inspired by the analogue photobooths we’d used on trips to Berlin. I designed a traditionally-shaped booth and because I didn’t have much of a budget to work with I decided that *I* would be the mechanism, taking the photos while hidden inside. The party was brilliant, the photos were awesome and as soon as I shared them to facebook I started getting enquiries about hiring it which was something I hadn’t anticipated at all.

I soon built a much improved version and added a voice changer so I could boss people around in a robotic voice and Photobot was born. Unbelievably I worked hidden inside the booth like this for two years and started a business I love, totally by accident.

What's been the coolest/best moment of your career so far?

Delivering a photobooth that we’d built for Johnnie Walker to the Vanity Fair party on the Grand Canal in Venice via gondola was pretty awesome I have to say. We’ve had a whole bunch of moments where we suddenly pause and wonder how we got to be doing something so amazing in such cool locations.

Who or what inspires you?

It’s a vague answer but I think inspiration comes from pretty much everywhere but if I need a creative boost I’ll head up to London and stroll around places like the Tanks at Tate Modern. I watch a lot of youtube too, particularly maker channels. We are also constantly considering people to collaborate with and hoping to do something with a really fabulous portrait photographer soon.

What do you love most about your job?

Making people laugh. Photobooth owners are incredibly lucky in that we do something fairly simple that makes people happy. Oh and I love the idea that the prints from our booths may be treasured for a lifetime or even beyond. Seeing a couple taking their newborn into a photobooth is thrilling for me for this reason.

What do you think the Most Curious couples will love about your booths?

Our booths take beautiful photos, look stunning and make people fall about laughing and that’s a pretty great combination at any wedding.

What is your fave wedding from history and why?

I couldn’t pick a favourite but giving my cousin away at her wedding was maybe my proudest moment. Paddling an upturned canoe drunkenly down a river in North Carolina was one of the funniest and crying epic endless happy tears at another last year was probably my most joyous.
