Eeeep, this is a message from Most Curious Premium Exhibitors The Photo Booth Guys - yes, we really did score this über cool international photo booth business for the fair! You LOVED them last year with their gifs and they're back this year with even more incredible props, backdrops, and a whole lotta looooove for their incredible alternative photo booth. We interviewed Andy from The Photo Booth Guys and it all sounds incredible - just casually doing a photobooth for the 2016 Olympics team, and can you spot the lovely Kat from Rock n Roll Bride in their booth too, looking gorgeous?!

Tell us a little bit about you!

We hire photo booths and create visual awesomeness. We do weddings and parties and work with brands, agencies and party planners. Open, vintage-style photo booths with some serious flair and custom options to blow your mind.

What's been the coolest/best moment of your career so far?

We did two events for Adidas around Rio 2016. We got to meet the entire GB Olympic team and shoot their uniform collection, then we did their welcome home party in Manchester. It was great to see them before they left and when they came back with all the medals!

What do you think the most Curious couples will love about your booths?

Our booths are very social – they create crowds that attract more crowds! It’s always a real feature at the reception and it’s something guests love and talk about. Our guest book is such a great takeaway as it’s so personal, and it often gets looked at more than the official photo album!

What do you love most about your job?

The places we get to go to. We’ve worked events at the Americas Cup, launch events in Paris and Cannes, movie premieres with royalty and heaps of celebs – all kinds of amazing people and venues!

Why did you decide to set up your own business?

For me it was an interim gig after leaving the world of IT to look for a new career – then it took off! My brother Steve created The Photo Booth Guys in Brisbane, Australia and I run things here in the UK. I love the flexibility making my own hours and it’s totally different to working in IT – with this people actually enjoy you being there and thank you for what you do!

Who or what inspires you?

Personally, my faith inspires me in everything. I aim to approach business based on the life of Jesus. He’s the example I want to try to follow – selfless, always doing more than you expect, valuing every person and not holding onto it when people treat you badly.

Commercially, I love Apple as a brand – we’re not trying to be Apple but we want to be like them, in that their product works without issues but it’s not purely functional. Apple products have character and include good design for an appealing product all-round. We want to do what we say we’re going to do we do – not boring, fun, relevant, on-trend, creative, different.

What is your fave famous wedding from history and why?

The only one I remember really is Princess Di’s wedding my – mum dragged us kids in front of the TV to watch it! I remember thinking it was all very fancy.
