The coolest/best moment of your career so far
There have been some AMAZING Loulabel moments! In 2014 I worked in Shanghai - that was a crazy experience! I've flowered really beautiful wild weddings all over the UK, even the Isles of Scilly which was incredible. 2018 saw me flowering away over in Australia! And creating for a super luxe & wild photoshoot at Aynhoe Park. It's been a wild ride!
Who or what inspires you?
I am totally inspired by my home, Cornwall with its wild landscapes and weather. I get really excited about combinations - colours and textures, foraged holey leaves, exquisitely scented garden roses and the perfect trailing vine! Travel too - I am very lucky to have visited some incredible, vibrant, soulful places around the world. Africa is next on the list!
What do you love most about your job?
I love that I get to make flower dreams come true! I get to take ideas and feelings and make flower magic with them, really add the personality and wow to my couples big day.
What’s the most curious thing about your business?
The most curious thing about my business is that nothing is standard or average - there is always something magic, special or creative, like the couple I work with. I won't buy all my flowers at the market, I'll visit local growers, go into the woods or clifftops to forage the perfect wild flower, search for the exact vessel, not just settle for what everybody else is using - things that really show the personality and love of the couple I'm working with!
What’s your top piece of advice for couples getting married?
My top piece of advice is...do YOU! Break or stick with any traditions you like! Fill your day with your personalities and your love! Select suppliers that you really gel with, that understand you and your vision.
