11TH OCTOBER 2020 NORWICH MOST CURIOUS SHOW GETS THE GO AHEAD!
So...... what a few months it's been since we last spoke about the Norwich show, we hope you are safe and well and we know this has been such a stressful time for couples planning a wedding. We see you.
But we have good news!
We’re happy to confirm since Friday's government announcement that trade events have been given the green light from the 1st October and also that weddings can now include a reception of 30, we are going ahead with the MOST CURIOUS Norwich Show on the 11th October 2020 as planned!
PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR THE LIST OF FULL MEASURES WE WILL BE PUTTING IN PLACE TO ENSURE THE SHOW IS A COVID SECURE EVENT.
A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL SHOW IS PARAMOUNT
Our venue The Fire Pit Camp have been open since 16th July and have already been busy working to comply to all Covid-19-Secure management, including risk assessments, sanitation, signage and crew training and undertaking the necessayr refurbishments. They have already had plenty of Covid-safe campers and wedding viewings. The team tell us "the sun has been shining and life outdoors with the new procedures in place to keep everything safe is going really well and it's a happy camp, very much looking forward to seeing everyone!"
The show is going to expand it's outdoor floor space and be a semi outdoor event which we feel is an even safer set up than a completely enclosed venue, giving all exhibitors and visitors even more space.
We are putting in the following steps with The Fire Pit to ensure exhibitor, visitor and staff safety in compliance with Government guidelines - please see below.
We want to reassure you that we will keep listening to all the updates and general guidance, and should any Government advice change we will be ready to adapt and shift once more.
Here's a break down of the new show guide running in accordance with Covid-19-secure guidelines:
- The entire venue will have it's now regular deep clean before the show (the venue is already fully set up with new signage and sanitising stations)
- Timed slots for Exhibitor set up, distanced
- Expansion of the floor plan to cover the lean-to outdoor area and also grass pitches outside
- Visitor Arrival Time slots to avoid over crowding at the busiest times - online and pre-booked
- The show will ask to take everyone's contact details/at least one member of a visiting group (groups of a max of 6/2 households in a bubble, socially distanced) for track and trace purposes, these will be kept for 21 days as per government recommendations
- A clockwise/one way pathway with one entrance and one exit which ensures the full indoor and lean-to floor plan of indoors is covered/walked, then signage to guide people to explore the other outdoor areas too - this will be carried out by using signs, floor signage and some funky rope walkways!
- Hand sanitiser on arrival and at points around the event - each stand to offer hand sanitiser to guests, we can provide these and sanitising wipes or sprays for exhibitors to use
- Clear marking around each vendor space for people to see where to stand.
- The show has WiFi and will be contactless and ask exhibitors to be as well, where possible
- Food vendors won't be able to host live tastings, food vendors can sell take away food as they usually do under their own new Covid-19 procedures. Other food vendors may hand out tasting bites/samples that are in prepackaged containers/packages/bags for visitors to take home.
- the show will ask visitors to wear masks indoors. Where 2m is not possible we will ask for masks/gloves to be worn and we recommend you bring your own please
- any areas that are shared, such as toilets and changing areas will be regularly cleaned, as per the government advice, and will provide hand-washing, sanitising and sprays to use
- we ask that children are supervised
- The venue has a leave no trace policy please take all your stand/props/waste away with you
