AUTUMN DAZE: A gorgeous shoot styled by Shumidee featuring our Norwich 20 exhibitor White Reflections
Super thrilled to be featuring this dream of a styled shoot by awesome make up artist, stylist and content creator Shumidee, who we have been working on some things for the Norwich show too! Last Autumn she created this completely beautiful shoot, which also features accessories from our Norwich exhibitor White Reflections - who stock Halo & Co who supplied the Woodlands Tiara and our one and only AM Faulkner, including the unforgettable Margarita Daisy veil, styled so beautifully and inspirationally with Shumidee’s hijab. As well as Norwich exhibitors Buns of Fun cakes (never over that name) and former exhibitor Elegance of Henna - feeling that white Henna SO MUCH. So many reasons this shoot needs attention!
The day was beautifully captured by Georgia Racheal Photography. Thank you so much Shumidee - over to you!
The perfect blend of the current Indian Summer with the approaching Autumnal season.
The inspiration of this shoot came from the magnificence of the changing season. as autumn creeps nearer,, we have incorporated many of its elements to this shoot.
I am a makeup artist and content creator based in Norwich. I put together this shoot together and decided to model in it alongside my husband Irfan. I knew I had to put this shoot together and be the face of it because I noticed that Hijab wearing brides are underrepresented in the bridal community. It is really important for us to be visible and be able to find inspiration that we can relate to in wedding related publications.
The gown of choice is a feminine tulle piece with nude accents made by luxury designer Inese Ozola from Amorelle, based in Latvia. The ethereal wedding dress was complemented by a gorgeous woodlands tiara and daisy veil from White Reflections Bridal by Halo & Co and A M Faulkner respectively. They are a complementary mismatch, each accessory attracts its own attention whilst working with each other to create a dreamy bridal look.
Thurning Hall made the perfect background to our shoot. The hall is nestled at the heart of the Norfolk country side, it’s a beautiful estate with rich history and peaceful surroundings that come with it. It’s the quintessential traditional British wedding venue. Every corner of this space is photogenic, romantic and awe inducing. Not to mention the incredible wide spanning fields and rolling hills that can be seen from the estate, they make the most beautiful backdrop for couple portraits.
There is nothing quite like Autumnal flowers blooming. All the florals on the day
were arranged by the wonderful Sharon from Myrtle and the Bee. The floral arrangements with autumnal accents were decorated the gorgeous wooden swing and throughout the shoot. The flowers we used were white hydrangea, Rudbeckia, Astrantia, Larkspur, with beautiful peach rose called Alchemy and the wonderful nude rose Westminister Abbey these were layered and woven into the design with a selection of foliage’s including Eucalyptus, vibernham , ivy and clematis.
We were lucky to have Emma of ‘Emma’s Buns of Fun’ to do the cake. Our 4-tier cake featured old-gold dusted bas relief flowers and leaves, echoing Thurning Halls peaceful surroundings. The most intricate of the tiers showed vine like trails and leaf patterns representing the fruitfulness and entwining of 2 souls in marriage. The gold tier was dimpled and textured comprising some of the on trend looks and the top two tier were natural with buttercream and light texture. In the centre we placed a rose gold cage and filled it with Myrtle and the Bees delicate dried ferns, grasses, dried flowers and heady fresh roses to match the brides bouquet. PS Emma offers vegan cakes and that just blew our minds!

Georgias photographs tell a story of love and laughter whilst bringing to life all the gorgeous elements of the day. It is so lovely to look back at these images and see everyone’s contribution and hard work come together so effortlessly.
