Love before Lockdown: Natasha and Daniel squeezed in their beautiful London wedding in February, with the help of Most Curious suppliers
Natasha and Daniel attended Most Curious and just about managed to squeeze in their beautiful beautiful South London wedding in February 2020, yes THIS YEAR - seems unbelievable doesn’t it. But so glad they did, what a dream! Natasha told us that '“Most Curious basically planned our wedding! Genuinely loved it so much and wish we could come to the show and do it all over again!”
So we are thrilled to feature them today. The pictures are by our MC family member Lisa Jane Photo and the venue is The Asylum, both of whom they met at the show and the reception was at Balham Bowls. Read on to find out more about this babelicious couple and the treats they found at MC London to create this masterpiece of a day!
A LITTLE INTRO:
We're Natasha and Daniel. I (Natasha) am a secondary History teacher in Lambeth and Daniel is Screening Analyst in Epsom
How did you meet?
We met at an engagement party, Daniel's friend James got engaged to my friend Michaela. He was impressed with my champagne opening skills, and we got chatting and have been inseparable since.
Fave thing about each other?
My fav thing about Daniel is what a good person he is, he sees the best in everything/everyone and has manged to soften me! He is also hilarious and makes me laugh everyday. It also helps that he's gorgeous.
Daniel: Her smile lights up a room, she sleeps like a little angel, she has an incredible amount of sass for whoever deserves it, she has the most beautiful eyes and has assembled some of the most bizarre but tasty meals I have ever encountered.
What have you learnt about marriage so far? :)
We got married just before the world went into lock-down, so unlike other married couples we jumped straight into 24-7 hanging out! We have learnt that together we're the best team, and to always work together if there are any issues.
“Our inspiration for the day mainly came from how much we loved both our venues, that was our starting point for how the day would look an feel and look. We worked with our friend Amy at Ivy and Gold Studio to design and create the overall vibe and aesthetic, including the flowers. We had colours we liked, and a general feel of what we wanted, so we talked it all out with Amy first and really she created the magic of the day!” *note from editor - p.s. Ivy Gold were not found via Most Curious, but look how great!
“The experience of working with suppliers found at Most Curious was great. Everyone was so talented and really knew what we were trying to create. Each person was just so talented, calm and reassuring, the suppliers we picked were truly outstanding. We also liked that none of them did a hard sale at all, they let their work speak for them. Lisa Jane Photo, in particular, was absolutely fantastic and really helped us plan the day and work out what we wanted. She was absolutely brilliant on the day when I got stressed, and suggested helpful and practical solutions. Her photos were also amazing!”
Natasha’s glorious dress was from the wonderful designer and boutique Story of My Dress and her bridesmaids dresses were from the North East London studio, Rewritten who specialise in design and fashion led bridesmaid dresses. Her hair and makeup was done by the modern and fresh Poppy Tallulah, who Natasha found on our supplier list from the previous year. The super cool ties were by one of our absolute fave exhibs, fabric and textile print and accessories designer Francis + Louise, even the little ones’ bow ties!
The gorgeous pink and gold bee themed cake is from our of fave exhibitors Isobel Bakes, who won the Most Curious bridalNEXT Award in 2017. Isobel sources her beautiful golden beaded bees and flowers from India. They commissioned pieces from Photo Press who exhibited this year, she created her signature style personalised newspaper for their order of service.
And lastly the MIGHTY WEDDING SMASHERS DJS got the party on fleek!!! “Yep - The Wedding smashers were epic!!! We danced our way around Most Curious and knew we had to have them! And at the wedding we were both on the dance floor all night, and our guests raved about how great Dan was! Everyone should go to most curious if they're planning a wedding! It really made us, and the day, the best!”
